Evaluation of field performance of
seedlings of various forestry species (Santalum album, Dalbergia
latifolia, Wrightia tinctoria) raised through container size,
potting media and biofertilizer.(Concluded)in order to recommend the
best combination for the three species .The observations on potting
media reveals that 30:10:60 sand:soil:compost (T7) was superior
followed by 20:20:60 in case of Dalbergia latifolia as compared to
all other treatments including rice husk, charcoal in different
combinations. The root trainers of 150 cc proved to be better in
case of D. latifolia and 270 cc in case Wrightia tinctoria as
compared to polybags and several other sizes of root trainers.
