Resource Survey & Management Division consists of two disciplines viz. Forest Mensuration and Forest Economics. The Forest Mensuration wing has prepared the yield and volume tables of all important tree species of the country. It has also conducted studies on estimation of growth and yield of natural forests and plantation areas of different parts of the country. The Forest Economics discipline has been working on the estimation of demand and supply of forest products, cost benefit analysis, socio-economic impact assessment and marketing of Forest Products.
